Buses

If you want to save money on your trip to the city of Tulum from Cancun and you are somewhere in the center of the city, the colectivos service is ideal for you.

First of all, it is necessary to mention that these services are not available from the Cancun airport and therefore, you would have to get to the city center. Once downtown, you have to go to the ADO terminal.

In front of the ADO terminal, there is a shared transportation line (Shuttle), which has a cost of 45.00 MXN to 55.00 MXN and is based in Playa del Carmen.

Once you arrive in Playa del Carmen, just 100 meters away you can find the base of the colectivos «transport service to Tulum» and get on one of them. The cost is similar to the previous one and its destination is downtown Tulum.

ADO

Another alternative that is also not available at the Cancun airport, but is available from downtown Cancun, is the ADO shuttle service. If you are at the Cancun airport, you have to get to downtown Cancun first.
